Default Getting bored of henchgroup play but lack of solo content...

I have been playing guild wars a while now... have all three games, nearly finished all of them but am bored to death of henchmen play.

I like to solo.. in every single game I play... none of these games are made to solo in it seems..

I play a warrior btw... shin jie armor... maxed swords etc... but when you are doong 12 damage a blow against lvl 20s and 21s... its tough soloing...

Are there any warrior builds you guys have that can reasonably solo AT your level?

I don't mean... solo mob x and only mob x... I mean solo major portions of the game...

I have a 20 monk/war as well... even tried invincible monk build... hardly invincible.. they nerfed that build to balls with 100 mesmers around every corner.

I just get so tired of not getting loot... and even more tired of doing 12 damage or 6 damage a hit... with maxed out strength... and maxed out sword... I have elemental swords, I have decent equipment... I have elite skills... but it appears yet ANOTHER game in this genre is not meant to be played solo...

I hate having a healer tied to my ass. I hate having a mage there as the only option for damage... Even a warrior/elementalist does shit against most enchanted skellies, much less against the regen of a boss ...

So where is the love, or should I move on to some other game?

All I can say is, if you want to play a single player game then why on gods green earth did you buy Guild Wars to begin with?

Your serious arn't you, First why buy an MMORPG if you want to do it solo?

Secondly in GW we have these nice things called ROLES, Hence it is a ROLE play game, A warrior is not surpose to be doing 120 dmg to a level 20, That is the NUKES job. Your surposed to TANK the damage

The only soloing you can do is solo farming. Trying to solo mission is just plain stupid :O

It's like trying to do 40 man raids in WoW solo...

-_-........it's an online multiplayer game for a reason, y'know. Team play and all that, even with AI, sometime. Maybe an offline single player rpg would suit you better.

And what's your skill bar look like? 6-12 dmg per hit doesn't sound right at all, unless you're not using an attack skill and use only default attack.

LOL! That was pretty amusing to read.

To the OP, I think if you do a little research and you will be amazed at what you can find.
As far as soloing goes, there are many places you can do that. There are areas where solo monks are killing 99% of zones in hard mode. Warriors must have killed a billion spiders in FoW.
I think your problem is you may be looking for one build that can kill everything.

No thats why we have teams and templates
Try making templates that you can just load up when you get to a new area
I have loads from
FFF Runner to Deep Tank
UW Solo to Star Burster

A warrior can do lots of jobs for a team
Star Burst can deal massive damage along with my new favorite combo Conjure Flame and Whirlwind attack
or you can throw ele as second and do some HUGE tanking and still deal large amounts of damage from spells like Sliver Armor

There are not alot of places a warrior isn't wanted for a teambut if your realy looking for the ablity to solo anywhere maybe you should try WoW where you can take every spell you know and have super armor

CORPG

Cooperative Online Role-Playing Game a subset of Massive Multilayer Online Role-Playing Games.

I kind of understand where the OP is coming from, for instance I started playing WoW about a month ago... *ducks flying objects* ... and you do have a lot of opportunity to simply play by yourself if that's what you desire.

But that's not how Guild Wars is set up. Because GW is a CORPG, because it has a level cap (good thing!), because you deal with bunched up monsters, etc. you just won't fair well on your own, unless you want to stay on the "trainer" islands or Pre-Searing.

I'm sorry if you if it took you buying all three games (... yeah) to figure that out, but that's the style of game you are presented with.

So to answer your question, of if you should move on if you want solo content? Sadly, yes.

GW is team based. Call it CORPG (which demands other people for the C+O) or MMORPG, it's based around other people. Henchies are support for filling missing party members.

And all those comments about maxed swords and max armor are a severe indication of playing the wrong game.

you're playing the wrong game. Go play WoW. You can solo and get some great stuff if u have the expansion. lvl 70 solo gear is as good as/better than T4/T5.
